Mad at MSM, Bush, Dean, and the Judicial System

Once again the mainstream media has dropped the ball. It shouldn’t surprise me though as earlier this month they thought the hurricane was more important to report on then the bombings in London. But this really pissed me off. As we blasted seven more courageous souls into outer space yesterday, I heard reporters saying…

“Well, it was a great liftoff but we’re only 50% there…”

Well that’s a hell of a thing to say on TV. Why don’t you just come right out and say,” They made it out there but were not quite sure if they’re coming back in a plane or a fireball”. I swear there are just some things that they can go without saying. The media is so pessimistic but that explains a lot about them. Bastards.

And yes, Bush is pissing me off. This whole CAFTA thing aggravates the shit out of me the same way that NAFTA did (yes, I was paying attention back then). All these things ever do is hurt American workers. I only hope that House Republicans have the good sense to vote against this deal. So damn you Bush. And damn you for your immigration stance and for calling the minutemen “vigilantes”. These brave people who volunteer their time to watch our gigantic holes in the border deserve some fucking respect, not ridicule. The only reason everyone is mad at them is because what they are doing is working. If you don’t respect what these people are doing, then you obviously don’t believe that border security is important. Our government doesn’t care but I am glad that someone does.

Howie, Howie, Howie.
When are you going to learn? On June 2nd, he was asked about the long voting lines during the last presidential election, Dean speculated that Republican voters didn't mind the lines as much. "Republicans, I guess, can do that (stand in line) because a lot of them have never made an honest living in their lives,” That’s nice of him to say but he wasn’t done. Dean accused Republicans of operating with a "dark, difficult and dishonest vision". Thanks buddy, I appreciate you giving us your knowledge of Republicans. That’s me to a “T”.

Well this didn’t go over so well with Democrats as several Democratic governors and members of Congress denounced Dean's comments. But that wasn’t going to stop the Dean Machine from spewing more tripe, “Republicans, are all about voter suppression.” Wow. But this was my favorite one, “The president and his right-wing Supreme Court think it is 'okay' to have the government take your house if they feel like putting a hotel where your house is,” This absolutely takes the cake. Speaking about the recent Kelo vs. New London case in which it was decided that the city can seize people’s private property using eminent domain. In this case, the city of New London wants to seize homes and put up a hotel or something like it. The court decided in favor of the city 5-4. Here is where we get to Dean’s comments. The four that dissented were Rehnquist, Scalia, Thomas, and O’Connor. All of those “right-wingers”…Dean is a classic buffoon.

I’m done with Dean, and if you are still reading this then picture this if you will. A middle-eastern man in a car is trying to get into America with a trunk filled with explosives to go about his merry way and blow up LAX on the millennium. Well this really happened and he got caught and arrested and stood trial. Well that certain individual was sentenced today. He got 22 years. 22 fucking years, can you tell me what is wrong with the judges in our system today? This guy will get out of jail when he is 54. You think there are any 50 year old men in the mountains of wherever the fuck causing terror? I do. You think that this guy can get some major networking done in 22 years? I do. Let’s not forget the fact that he is eligible for parole in 14 years! Fucking bullshit… The would be shoe-bomber Richard Reid got life in prison for trying to blow up a plane. This guy gets 22 years for trying to blow up a whole airport. This is one of those reasons why impeachment of judicial officials should be on the table.

How convenient.

CONCERN #1 - That it gets way too political. Like how a woman would deal with all our real life current events (War on Terror, Gay Marriage, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, etc.).

Concern #2 - Geena Davis.

Hillary 2008 here we go.
When I was at the airport in Honolulu I bought Dick Morris' book,"Rewriting History". Good book so far from a man with much love for Bill (that is plainly evident). He compares a would be Hillary Administration to the Nixon Administration. Says that Hillary mirrors Nixon in a lot of ways. He would know, he spent enough time with them.

Hey there! I'm in Oahu on the North Shore right now. Our hotel room has a wireless connection so I thought I would take time out of my busy honeymoon schedule to say hello. I'm in our room right now looking at and hearing the ocean, which is pretty tizight. I'll have to show you guys pictures when we get back. Denise and I have been having a great time. We did the luau thing, we took a submarine ride that took us 150 feet below to check out coral reefs and fish, we did a drive/hike through the rainforests of Maui. Some islander tried to sell me some "Maui Wowee" while we were in Lahina. We did a sunrise at the volcanic crater that is over 10,000 feet above sea level. We were actually looking down on the clouds....crazy. Yesterday we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center to learn about seven different island cultures which was very cool. Plus we were told that our admission price helps all of the employees who are there to go to school and they are on scholarships and what not. That made me feel good. Then I found out that BYU was right down the street and that all these people from the islands were Mormon. Weird. Then Denise and I went to have dinner at one of the restaurants there. Not one damned caffeinated beverage in the place. Listen, you do whatever it is that you think you have to to get that universe of yours when you die, but don't press your beliefs on me. You should have seen the look on our servers face when I asked if there was any "regular Coke". Classic. Anyway, we are headed down to Waikiki today and then home on Friday. I'm sure I will see you all later.

Peace out.

Respect.

Division of the human family into two distinct groups began some 12,000
years ago. Humans existed as members of small bands of nomadic
hunter/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains in the summer and
would go to the beach and live on fish in winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer
and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented by Man to get to
the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were
the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
Liberals and Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain, and that was the beginning of
agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor the aluminum can was invented
yet, so while our early human ancestors were sitting around waiting for
them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how
villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night
While they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what became known as
the "Conservative Movement".

Other men, who were weaker and less skilled at hunting, learned to live off
the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ's and doing the
sewing, fetching and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the "Liberal
Movement". Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women.

The rest became known as "girlie men".

Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the
trade union, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of
Democratic voting to decide how to divide up the meat and the beer that the
conservatives were providing. Over the years, conservatives came to be
symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the
elephant.

Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer, (with lime added), but most prefer
white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish, but like their
beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.

Another interesting, revolutionary side note: most of their women have
higher testosterone levels than liberal men. Most social workers, personal
injury lawyers, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood, and group therapists
are liberals. Liberals also invented the Designated Hitter Rule because it
wasn't "fair" to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer and eat red meat and potatoes.
Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks,
construction workers, medical doctors, police officers, corporate
executives, soldiers, athletes, and generally anyone who works productively
outside of government. Conservatives who own companies employ other
conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little, or nothing. They like to "govern" the producers
And decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more
enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in
Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the
Wild West was tamed, and created a business of trying to get MORE for
nothing.

This ends today's History lesson....

You're welcome to come but since I am a broke ass now it is BYOB (Booze and Barbecue). Family Guy at 9, maybe some poker before hand. I figure that people could start showing up around 6pm.

Also, it's officially official. We're throwing another party for my birthday. This will be on Sat, May 7. More details on that to follow, but leave the date open.

Booyakasha bitches!

Respect.

Well it is almost completed anyway. Got the majority of my stuff into the new place. I think that it is a cool apartment. Aside from the small little things that the manager's have to fix I am smooth sailing. Denise has started to bring over her stuff as well. I am fairly excited about it all. Cable should be going in today, so there will hopefully be THE SHIELD!!! Wednesday the Steve and I will be getting the rest of my stuff; dinning set, wall units, and fridge so that I can has A BAR!!! Need to get the Barbecue so I can get to grilling. Get-togethers will be happening this summer fo' sho'. Hopefully we can do a party thing for my b-day at the new place. B-day is on a Monday the 9th, so maybe the weekend before. I'll figure it out and let everyone know.

One thing about the cable though. I can't even get digital cable....I have stinkin analog cable. I am limited to only 60ish channels and some movie channels if I want them. Fuckin Adelphia. Now I don't watch much television anyway, so the amount of channels really doesn't matter in the long run. I have the ability to watch football, THE SHIELD!!, Hitler Channel, Chappelle, Discovery, and the news. That is about all I really watch. And the Wire. My biggest problem is with the news channels that I have. Only CNN and Headline News, which is CNN. No MSNBC, no Fox News, complete bullshit.

In other news, I don't know how many of you know my assistant manager Adrian. Some of you do. He was at Paladino's when we went for Chris' b-day. He was working here when Brian did. Anyway, he was on a field trip thing with CSUN for the geography dept. Friday night the passenger van that he was in went out of control and flipped about 4-5 times. He was thrown from the vehicle and had to be airlifted to the nearest trauma center. He broke just about everything (some ribs, collarbone, hip, some limbs), had a collapsed lung, severe internal bleeding and spinal injuries that they do not know the extent of yet. Luckily though, he received no head trauma. He had 7 or 8 surgeries yesterday.

I am extremely glad to hear that Julie will be ok. I hope that Adrian will be as well. He'll live, but hopefully paralysis-free. They both need our thoughts and prayers.

Checks and Balances?

Well we may have one last ditch effort with the courts regarding the Terri Shiavo situation. She is now in her sixth day without food or water. She has been to this point before, but never beyond this. If the full panel of the 11th circuit court of appeals does not order the feeding tube be put back in based on the order of a new trial passed by Congress and signed by the President then something must be done. As luck would have it, there is a law on the books that would allow the Florida State Department of Children and Families to take Terri from the hospice where she is being kept and transport her to protective custody.

Department secretary Lucy Hadi said her staff is relying on a state law giving authority to intervene on behalf of a vulnerable adult "suffering from abuse or neglect that presents a risk of death or serious physical injury." Hadi said DCF must file a petition to remove Terri Schiavo from the Pinellas Park, Fla., hospice but could take action without judicial approval if the department believes it's warranted.
The law says emergency medical treatment can be given to the vulnerable adult as long as "such treatment does not violate a known health care advance directive prepared by the vulnerable adult."

And just in case you were wondering, the court history would not prevent DCF from taking action, however, according to Hadi.

"We're not compelled to look at prior judicial proceedings," Hadi told the Post. "What we're compelled to look at is the presenting circumstance and any allegation of abuse and neglect that we've received. So we have to deal with those and fulfill our statutory responsibility, notwithstanding anything else that may have gone on before."

The time to act is now. Especially since it has been reported that, according to a former caregiver for Terri Carla Sauer Iyer, Michael Schiavo once tried to kill his wife Terri with insulin shots. Iyer says she suspects Michael Schiavo injected Terri, who normally has "very stable" blood sugar levels, with regular insulin to drive her into hypoglycemic shock during his visits. "Terri would be trembling, crying hysterically and would be very pale and have cold sweats," Iyer wrote. "So I'd check her blood sugar. The glucometer reading would be so low that it was below the range where it would register an actual number reading." Iyer said she saw needle marks under Terri Schiavo's breast and groin after Michael Schiavo had been left in the closed room with her. A used syringe was found in the trash.
Iyer said that when Michael Schiavo found out she and another nurse were feeding Terri liquids and liquified foods, he warned he would get them fired if they didn't stop.

These facts were not taken into consideration in the court cases, Iyer stated.

Didn’t matter though. Iyer says she was fired after notifying police about her suspicions. This would be enough of a testimony to get a convicted killer a new hearing.

The brothers Bush have the authority to have police or federal marshals enter the hospice and take Terri out and into a hospital under maximum security until a new hearing. They can arrest anyone who gets in their way. There is so much doubt in this case that I am drowning in it. The judiciary is ignoring Congress and the President, despite the clear intent of Congress that hydration and nutrition be resumed until a de novo trial was held, and appeals from that trial exhausted. Clearly the Judiciary needs to be put in check. Our system is designed for this. I only hope that the brothers Bush have the necessary fortitude to do something about it.

The Real Score: Critical Thinking 0, Liberal Stupidity 1

Brian recently put up a post about the Supreme Court decision to outlaw the death penalty in cases where the perpetrator was 16 or 17 years old. The death penalty has been outlawed for those 15 and younger since 1988. For those of you who do not know, the case in question is as follows:

ROPER V. SIMMONS
At the age of 17, when he was still a junior in high school, Christopher Simmons, the respondent here, committed murder. About nine months later, after he had turned 18, he was tried and sentenced to death. There is little doubt that Simmons was the instigator of the crime. Before its commission Simmons said he wanted to murder someone. In chilling, callous terms he talked about his plan, discussing it for the most part with two friends, Charles Benjamin and John Tessmer, then aged 15 and 16 respectively. Simmons proposed to commit burglary and murder by breaking and entering, tying up a victim, and throwing the victim off a bridge. Simmons assured his friends they could “get away with it” because they were minors.

The three met at about 2 a.m. on the night of the murder, but Tessmer left before the other two set out. (The State later charged Tessmer with conspiracy, but dropped the charge in exchange for his testimony against Simmons.) Simmons and Benjamin entered the home of the victim, Shirley Crook, after reaching through an open window and unlocking the back door. Simmons turned on a hallway light. Awakened, Mrs. Crook called out, “Who’s there?” In response Simmons entered Mrs. Crook’s bedroom, where he recognized her from a previous car accident involving them both. Simmons later admitted this confirmed his resolve to murder her.

Using duct tape to cover her eyes and mouth and bind her hands, the two perpetrators put Mrs. Crook in her minivan and drove to a state park. They reinforced the bindings, covered her head with a towel, and walked her to a railroad trestle spanning the Meramec River. There they tied her hands and feet together with electrical wire, wrapped her whole face in duct tape and threw her from the bridge, drowning her in the waters below.

By the afternoon of September 9, Steven Crook had returned home from an overnight trip, found his bedroom in disarray, and reported his wife missing. On the same afternoon fishermen recovered the victim’s body from the river. Simmons, meanwhile, was bragging about the killing, telling friends he had killed a woman “because the bitch seen my face.”

Now, it is no great shock that I think this piece of shit, sub-human should die. I think that if this happened to anyone’s wife (God forbid) that a different tune would be sung. Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the majority, said many juveniles lack maturity and intellectual development to understand the ramifications of their actions.

What he means to say it that they are too immature to understand the consequences for their actions. I won’t apologize for saying that I don’t care, for ignorance of the law and our consequences in no defense. We all know that murder is wrong and at 17years old it is no surprise that when you throw some one off a bridge with their hands and feet bound and their face taped up that they will die. To say that the person in question did not have to mental capacity to understand his actions is irresponsible and unintelligent.

But before you go about your merry way celebrating Brian (or anyone that agrees with him), you might want to take a closer look at how the majority came about their decision. They openly cited a United Nations convention, an international treaty and the laws of the United Kingdom in arriving at its decision Brian. It sets a bad precedent for future rulings from our "Black Robed Gods".

Justice Scalia found it curious that the court would overrule the will of the American people in 19 states, but lean heavily on the opinions of foreigners.

The following quotes are from his dissent:
"Though the views of our own citizens are essentially irrelevant to the Court's decision today, the views of other countries and the so-called international community take center stage,” he wrote.

The majority begins its ruling by noting that "Article 37 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, entered into force Sept. 2, 1990, which every country in the world has ratified save for the United States and Somalia, contains an express prohibition on capital punishment for crimes committed by juveniles under 18."

The court also mentioned the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which the U.S. Senate, Scalia pointed out, ratified. The Senate "only subject to a reservation that reads: 'The United States reserves the right, subject to its Constitutional restraints, to impose capital punishment on any person (other than a pregnant woman) duly convicted under existing or future laws permitting the imposition of capital punishment, including such punishment for crime committed by persons below eighteen years of age."

"Unless the Court has added to its arsenal the power to join and ratify treaties on behalf of the United States, I cannot see how this evidence favors, rather than refutes, its position," wrote Scalia. "That the Senate and the President – those actors our Constitution empowers to enter into treaties ... have declined to join and ratify treaties prohibiting execution of under-18 offenders can only suggest that our country has either not reached a national consensus on the question, or has reached a consensus contrary to what the Court announces."

"More fundamentally, however, the basic premise of the Court's argument – that American law should conform to the laws of the rest of the world – ought to be rejected out of hand."

I can understand your joy of the outcome Brian, but to not address this issue is to turn a blind eye to this rape of our sovereignty. But you reap what you sow, buddy. It would have been a much different story on Brian’s LJ if the Court was overturning Roe V Wade on such flawed thinking. Brian likes to point out that we were one of five countries that had such a practice on the death penalty.

"Let us not forget the Court's abortion jurisprudence, which makes us one of only six countries that allow abortion on demand until the point of viability," Scalia added.

Here is more from Scalia regarding foreign influence.
"The Court has been oblivious to the views of other countries when deciding how to interpret our Constitution's requirement that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion," he wrote. "Most other countries – including those committed to religious neutrality – do not insist on the degree of separation between church and state that this Court requires."

He pointed out that countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, and Australia allow direct government funding of religious schools on the ground that "the state can only be truly neutral between secular and religious perspectives if it does not dominate the provision of so key a service as education, and makes it possible for people to exercise their right of religious expression within the context of public funding."

"The Court should either profess its willingness to reconsider all these matters in light of the views of foreigners, or else it should cease putting forth foreigners' views as part of the reasoned basis of its decisions," he wrote. "To invoke alien law when it agrees with one's own thinking, and ignore it otherwise, is not reasoned decision-making, but sophistry."

Scalia has got it right. Liberals, as usual, got it wrong.

Kennedy wrote,"The age of 18 is the point where society draws the line for many purposes between childhood and adulthood. It is, we conclude, the age at which the line for death eligibility ought to rest.”

So let me get this straight. According to liberals, minors are too immature to know that people can drown and that bullets kill but are mature enough to go get an abortion without parental consent.

Good job guys.
